My name is James, I am based in Australia and have always loved photography, although it took me 26 years to really embrace the art form.
Growing up my father had a series of books about photography, I think they were one of those time life series, I remember looking through one of the volumes when I was 10 or 11 and being mesmerised by the fantastic images. If you asked me today I couldn't tell you what the pictures were of, I just remember how they grabbed me and sparked a fire inside that has been burning ever since.
Over the years I have tried to create images beautiful images, however they always fell short, I finally took some lessons (after a gentle push from my wonderful wife) on the technical skills required to operate my camera properly. My images are beginning to improve and I am beginning to work towards being a professional photographer.
