As much as I love a good old fashioned paper book I have recently discovered another great resource to tap into. Around the web I have been bumping into some very talented authors/bloggers sharing their knowledge through the medium of ebooks. Affordable, easy to download and almost immediate delivery to your inbox appeals to me.
Over at Wrightfood I was excited to discover that the talented Matt Wright has just released his new book Wrightfood Photography Manual in downloadable pdf. Without fail every time I visit Matt's site I come away feeling hungry, inspired by his photo composition and with a wealth of handy hints (his recent post on lighting set up was a beautie).

I found this manual to be a perfect extention of my food photography course, not only has Matt created this wonderful resource for you and me snapping away in our home kitchens all the proceeds from his sales are going towards the Japan relief effort through the Red Cross.
Although having learnt quite a bit about photography since my first course I find that I sometimes struggle when trying to explain it to others. Fellow blogger Katie Evans does not have that trouble in fact quite the reverse and has just recently released her ebook The Key to Taking Pictures Like a Professional Photographer.

I think a really good first step for anyone interested in taking photos is to read your camera manual. This ebook would have to be a great second step as the perfect companion to your manual.
It expands on difficult concepts with examples keeping things real and easy to understand. While reading this I kept on finding myself nodding my head so much of it is transferrable to any type of camera and spot on.
Now I am not one to keep such a good thing to myself so I have one copy of The Key to Taking Photos Like a Professional Photographer and one copy of Wrightfood Photography Manual to give away. To enter:
Please tell me what inspires you to pick up your camera in the comments along with which book you would prefer by the end of Wednesday 1st June and one of these wonderful books could be in your inbox before you know it.
